“Thank you” Kinsale Enterprise Academy

The Kinsale Enterprise Academy is for anyone running a business in Kinsale, and tries to match the experience of seasoned entrepreneurs with new, small, and growing companies in our community. And it seems to be working. Listen to these words from one of our first beneficiaries, The Well Institute.

“As someone who is benefitting from the KEA mentoring programme I just wanted to drop the committee a note to express my gratitude for the service you are providing on a voluntary basis. I have had the benefit of “mentor X’s” expertise and time and I have to say it has been most helpful. I was reflecting this morning on how helpful it is to look at problems through different lenses and why we shouldn't be afraid to reach out and ask for help. Of course, having a service like this available, is a rather unique experience within a small community and it speaks volumes about this community.

In my experience, having someone like “mentor X” take a look at my business model, to really listen to me in terms of how I want to evolve the business and where my stumbling blocks are has been so helpful. In just two meetings, “mentor X” helped me clear some of the debris and focus on a plan. In fact the process prompted me to remember resources I already had but had lost sight of! This week I am more focused and able to anchor myself to some key action points which is a relief. To be honest the process so far with “mentor X” has reflected what I offer people in my work, so it resonating well.

I have a journey ahead of me of course but “mentor X” has at least in two meetings helped me identify a road and I have a map, so now I can move in a more efficient manner.
